How do I play a MDL animation?
if you open "half-life model viewer" then
you can see that a MDL file has a lot of animations.
like "run", "walk"......
but how do I play the animation "run"?
in DBpro there aren't any command for playing the animation
"run", only "start frame" and "end frame".

plz help

Right well now i know that this is Half-Life MDL not Quake or Gamestudio - i've had a lil time to make a test model (using the loveable DB Goblin ) and compiled the hl mdl.

Now i have 4 animation within it ... jump, walk, idle and attack - each were 30 frames because i couldn't be bothered to edit milkshape for the test.

Total frames = 0-126
Attack - 0-30
Idle - 31-62
Jump - 63-94
Walk - 95-126

hope this helps everyone, if there is an actual command to run the names then please post it up ...

Just got home and decided to mess about with this some more, I've found a way to read the names of the animations

I'll see about making a function to play them based on name... may wait until i wake up as its 3:30 and kinda a lil tired
