firstly...don't turn this thread into a m$ hate thread, I'm stuck with Express for now.

OE has lost my folder structure. I still have the folders, all in the right places, but OE doesn't know they are there.

It's created a brand new Inbox(1).dbx folder, and ignores the original inbox.dbx.

There is an index.avx file, I renamed this, but it just created a new one and didn't fix the problem. It still picked inbox(1).avx as the root, with no other folders.

In the past, I have installed OE, dropped existing folders in from a backup disk, and it just worked.

Any ideas on how to get the structure back?

In Tools -> Options -> Maintenance there is a store folder button, which will bring up the location of where is stores everything - that may need changing.

I came, I saw and I forgot all about it... or something...

It's the latest version of OE, patched

The store folder is correct. It's creating the new inbox in the exact same folder and suffixing it with (1). The old one is still in there, unbeknown to OE, along with about 20 other folders.
