Hey all,
I've recently started using Milkshape a little more than I used to and have managed to create a model that, although not perfect, will do for me. I wanted to texture my model so opened it in Lith and was presented with the following screen.

Not exactly the easiest view of my model. I was wondering if anyone knew how I could un-wrap my model so it was easier to texture, I was thinkg of the screenies I've seen where the model is cut down the middle and you have a back and a front view to texture, just something a little simpler to understand than what I currently have. Thanks in advance.

Don't worry about all this mess, all you have to do is unwrap each group, using the projection tools.Select a group, start with the torso for example, and then go to tools->UVmapping and choose box projection. You'll probably have to move some vertices afterwards to fix the streching that may occur on the texture. Also, don't forget to assign a checker texture to the model, it'll make things much easier.
For a more detailed explanation of the process, check psionic's UVmapping tut for lith:

Thanks for the help, it's much appreciated. I've just tried out what you said and it's just what I was looking for. Thanks again.
