i been posting something similar in the newcomers area and no one seems to give me a straight answer to it or code that works propperly.

basically i want to make a sky sphere for the star field that rotates which i gather is easy enough to do coz i managed it to a point. but it makes my 3D character vanish when i try and implement it. so i gone back to the code i know works at the moment.

if it possible can some of u please have a look at my scource code and tell us how to do it.

i do programmng in my spare time so showing me the altered code will do nicely as i can then learn how and where to make it.

i'm using DBpro. the star field graphic is image 5, and my characters object code is 1.

oh, and if u can set the object code for the sky sphere to 10 that would be very helpful.

and even though this isn't to do with 3D can u also tell me how to put text ABOVE an image or will i have to make it into a sprite first? if so i'll sort that our myself.

anyway heres the full code. please help us out as best u can

thanx in advance

I have some suggestions back in your original thread that might help. You added some code that totally crippled your ability to see anything.

You hacked the range of your camera range down to 100 units. That means that anything more than 100 units will be culled, including your sky sphere and probably your ship model.

Don't sweat the speed bumps and pot holes, they are par for the course when learning a new programming language.
