Look underneath people's posts. If there's YIM icon then yes, otherwise no.

Yeah, I'm sure a lot of folks just don't want it in public. Forums can be frequented by lamers who have nothing better to do than bother people. Also, it is generally frowned upon (or so I have heard in other forums here) to ask for personal info (maybe that is only team request, not sure). You can however say something like "This is my Yahoo msng name, msg me if you have it!".

Fraggles where quite the scary lot...
