Hi all, I was a way for a while and now I'm back ready to roll. while I was away I was modelling and writting a upcomming game.
I was modelling using Gamespace and the pic shown below are the available weapons that the player is entitled to:



The game is a war game, known as shoot-em-up, the title I'll post tomorrow and if any of you are interested on any of these guns you'll get them with the game saved as Zip file!

now I'm almost started the objects and I'll psot the battlefield!

Ah maan, isn't first person shoot em up great! you don't need your character, all you do is model a hand the place your weapon bottom of the screen!

Umm what do u mean u dont need characters? There hasta be something u see when ur shooting at them

o yea, of course, the enemies are being modelled but the shooter him self, the player I don't worry about him!

so how do u add things like damage or nething? cuz rly then ur just a floating gun and hand, thats 1 hell of a small target for the enemies to hit

Most FPS I know of have a main character, for pics, or if you die normally you get to see yourself die from a third-person view.

If you don't implement cinematics and there is no way of seeing yourself even in the character selection, then make a human shape out of nothing but boxes and use it purely for collision purposes.
Know what I mean?

you need a main charater if you have a story line...or you want your game to be much better...
