If anyone has Halo for Xbox, and have read the instruction manual(yeah I know, but I was bored), near the credits page somewhere says that Bungie, the company that developed Halo was only making games to get enough money to eventually take over the world, and they're making a lot of money off their awesome games and at first I shrugged the idea off like nothing, but now, I'm putting more though into it, what if they do take over. I don't know, maybe it wouldn't be so bad, but then again they could be evil dictators forcing humanity to be their slaves, which would eventually lead into a rebellion of people against government and a huge nuclear war that wiped out all life on Earth as we know it.

We need another company to compete with them, and make the same type of games their making that can eventually beat them down into a small company once more to ensure the survival of the human race.

Halo's lead developer has quit so there isn't much of a threat of that.

I don't think you can buy the world.
And if you could, why would someone sell it to them?

With money you can do anything, except buy friendship... unless your friend is a hooker.

You couldn't buy the world with money, and you couldn't hold it either. Money is only valuable as long as there is a system upholding it. It stops mattering as the amounts get bigger what exactly the number is-- after all, if you owned the world you could just take it all away from those who had 'too much'. I could go into more detail but...

There are only so many weapons in the world, and a good deal of them can't be bought directly, without so much money that the economy would be knocked kazoo and your money would lose its value anyways and the world leaders would unite to pwn your ass for screwing the globe up. Similarly, there are only so many men in the world that can be bought, and I seriously doubt any independant third party, no matter how compelling their cause, could take on China, the USA, Russia, Germany, Great Britain, etc etc united against them. Sure, you could hold the world at a deadlock if you had enough nukes, but what'd you ask for? You'd end up getting knocked off some day. There are only so many places on this globe to hide.

Things just aren't as simple as they were in the days .
