I am using GameSpace Light to create and save .X models. When I load them in DBPro most of the textures are lost.

If all, or part of a model is a solid color that color will show up fine in my game. But if the texture is more complicated, like 'Wood Grain', it won't show up in the game at all and the model will be white.

I have used 'Object Union' to join the textured parts of the model together, and exported the final, single, object in .x format.

I unchecked the 'save as ASCII' box, and tried both 'inline materials' and 'export with full texture path', with no results.

The model will reload fine in Gamespace. What am I doing wrong?

After some more work I have noticed that the problem seems to be with bump mapped materials. They will appear plain white in DBP.

Now I need to test some more to see if it's my video card or DBP. I'm running an ATI 9600.

hold on, calm down! everythings undercontrol!
...you calm! alright lets begin

I'ma Gamespace user and basically all you need to do is

1) when saving objects (exporting) select .X then setting
2) as shown on the screenshot click setting then check the red circuled box, if still the probel is there then check "Export with full texture path"
3) make sure you triangulate your objects before saving them, as shown on the other screenshot hold the MM popup and select the mirror button and make sure when saving them the green circuled box is checked on the first pic!

hope it helps

Thanks General,

I'll try it out when I get home today. I had the export options correct but I wasn't triangulating all faces, as you've shown in the pic. Thanks agian.
