Seeing as almost ALL of the tools right now on TGC site are FPS geared, Im hoping after the release of the FPSC some new RPG/RTS/Adventure programs/media packs will be released. Im not a big media pack fan myself, but I think TGC would be targeting a much more vast user base in targeting more then one genre, and thus make more (well deserved) money!

Strangely, I believe that would be easier to create than SEUCK itself or FPSC.
"All" you have to do is creating a level-editor, where you can put your own models. And a programm that reads what the editor did. Could be really nice, indeed.

I'm actually considering a remake of SEUCK when I have more time - damn lovely little package was SEUCK, but then it was made by Sensible Software, who were pretty much golden back in the day. The C64 version was best though, I hated the ST version - did'nt even let you make Commando style games because it had no level collision!.

im sure you will have to buy a licenes to sell your game since the source codes that come with the FPSC is copyrighted

That's possible, seeing as DBP doesn't have the capabilities to compile machine code (well, perhaps it's possible...), but I haven't heard about licences yet...

fear not, whether fpsc is top priority or not, it's written in dbp Any bugs (dbp compiler related) will be fixed and features added when new features need to be implemented into fpsc^_^ Don't forget speed optimizations

Yeah me too that's why I asked the question

I already have several of the elements in place and although I only really did it to speed up my own future projects, it is tempting to take it one step further.

And you're dead right about the C64 version......there are still games being written with it now.

You can register and guess what, under darkbasic, if you register you can post your own game FREE!!! Now the other one is my news site where I will post update announcements. You can also ask questions about the site there (more likly to be awnsered by me there than in the forum) The small button a the bottom allows you to join my newsletter, which saves the trouble of going to the announcement place, but you have to go there to post questions you want to know. I have the position of website designer available if you want. No pay, but you would get a free shopping cart, Invision forum. But I can't offer much, yet...

Look around C64 emulation sites, and please stop trying to flog your hosting service.

You can't have used the C64 version! - I'd agree with the suck part on other platforms, but the original version on the 64 was awesome once you knew how everything works. I mean, name another game creator from that era that let you record straight to tape then play it on any machine. I'd go as far as to say SEUCK is the best C64 title ever.

No, never brought it for my C64 - was too busy writing my own games (the only surviving one is availiable from my website and http://www.gamebase64.com/game.php?id=15496&d=18) or playing games...

I also through SEUCK was way too limiting to be of much use. Useful for those who couldn't program I suppose, but then you would get games that are similar to each other.

I did try the 3D Aventure creator for a short while - that SEUCKed too..

Woohoo - found another game I did at that site... Dont remember doing it though

Shame I didn't send off my Killing Game Show game (not affiliated to the commerical game) - that was the last one I did for the C64 (and was technically the most impressive).

Shame I cant find the Amiga version of my Walker game - oh well

Anyway any new version wouldn't necessarily have to be an exact clone of the original and could allow for far more variation. An editor could, in theory, be as flexible as DBPro itself. It would be pretty pointless but possible.

Sure, as with FPSC, a new SEUCK would be limited to one genre but other than that the only limitation is your imagination. If you haven't got the imagination to come up with something original then all games proabably will look the same but that's not necessarily the fault of the editor.
