I was just wondering how many people are entering more then one game for the compo.

I am going to enter a Snake re-make and a Scorched Earth re-make.
I am about 75% finished with the games.

Don't rush - remember that you have until the end of October to finish the game, and the best entries will be several months of work.

I've started planning out a Scorched Earth remake. I work 7 days a week from 9am-10pm, so I haven't touched DBP since April, so all the planning is done on a pad of graph paper

I am still deciding whether to do it in 3D or 2D, or maybe a bastardized 3D/2D combination. I don't think destructable terrain is as hard as some people say it is. With any project, I take a look at what will be the trickiest logic part and draw it out on paper. That way I don't waste a bunch of time with dummy variables and such and I find I produce cleaner code.

I'm also thinking of different things to use rather than tanks.

I'm planning to make a very compicated OpWolf remake.
I'm about 0% done.

I would make a Operation Wolf game, but I don't have a 3D modeling program, so unless you all think shooting at cubes to save spheres would be fun then I would make it.

I'm putting all my time into Scortched Earth Remake. If I can squeeze some time, I'll make a 2D snake game, just so TGC can have an even more impressive list of entries.

Yeah no kidding. I know there'll at least be 100+ entries. Not to mention the file cap at 60mb, I don't know if they'll be able to host all the games. Hopefully though, I know I really like seeing my games here for download.

No excuse, go to the sticky threads in the 3D chat board and you will find many free or economical modellers for DB.

If you think this because everyone is saying they're working on entries, I wouldnt hold my breath. It takes a lot to actually finish an entry, as previous compos have pointed out.

I'm thinking of entering with a scorched earth type game, using a couple of twists along there somewhere. If I can find the time that is

I've given it some thought ... and I think that I would like to enter as well.

I am going to make a 3D snake game ... except it won't be a snake. It'll be a human ... who will be trailing something behind him ...

i've been working a scorched earth game...for a week, and i'm %40 done

i almost made a snake/wolf mix but decided against it due to my lack of modeling skills

and i don't think there will be a lot of entries...at the acoders compo there where supposed to be 100+ and guess how many made it through? 13...(actually 16, but 3 had dead links )

I wanted to join this competition, but I can't anymore. I'm too busy with other things at the moment.

I am looking forward to next years Retro Remakes competition. I want to remake the ET game from the Atari 2600 - except this time, I want to make it rock instead of suck.

Wow, to do that you'd have to try something like shooting down the mother ship and using the ETs for target practice.

That's not a bad idea either - you never know!

Did you know that 5,000,000 E.T. games are sitting, crushed in a land-fill because the game was so bad?
