Hi! I got this 3D world with me in .x which was made using 3ds max. The world was originally made out of boxes and planes. When i try loading this world i either get this error cannot load the 3d object or some of the boxes within the world does not get loaded into the program. What could be the problem. I tried both grouping n ungrouping the objects. Nothing seems to help.

I have 3ds max 6 n export files to .x using panda .x exporter. Also the textures that i specify for the object does not get loaded when converted to .x format. Plzzz help.

you could try a program called 3d exploration, save the world as a 3ds object then in 3d exploration you can turn it to and X file (cue spooky music) and it should save the textures too, it's what i use, only a suggestion.

Well I have 3DExloration as well. But the problem is even the .3DS file does not save the textures applied even if I save the texture files used in the same folder. The .3ds gets saved as a grey block object. Any other suggestions?

Have you tried to maybe re-apply the textures while inside 3d exploration before saving it to .x? if you expand the materials folder you will probably find thet if you double click the material name it will have the name of the texture file but it might have a yellow exclaimation mark by it so all you'd need to do is browse for the texture again and that Might help. If that doesn't work i'm sorry i'll be all out of ideas.

Thanx I've tried that as well. But no luck. Am just trying to apply the inbuilt textures instead of creating new texture files. Lets see how that comes by. Thanx for your help neways.
