I did it...I found 2 words that return just one result in Google.

I don't know what possessed me to even try it. I had a word in my head, decided it would be a good starting point, and in under 3 minutes I'd Googlewhacked it.

The first word is a very popular Spanish drink.

The second is the act of making it no longer an item for which one could be prosecuted.

Now I can pass away, content in the fact that I Googlewhacked before I died.

You can't post both words here though because that would ruin the point of the 'game'. Once this page is indexed then it will return twice on google if you post the words, the solution is to only post the answer in a form like:

S_a_n_g_r_i_a

Hence my cryptic clues, not the actual words themselves.

Yes, it is S_a_n_g_r_i_a.

This one doesn't regester, cos apparently ambigram isn't a word (according to dictionary.com).

ambigram spline

It's easy to googlewhack, you just find a word that comes up with hardly any results by itself and then add other words until you get 1 result.

Isn't it? Wasn't it? Marvellous!

2 words, no quotes.

Quote: "Results 1 - 10 of about 263,000 for sangria"

..which makes it better. If one word has so many hits, but 2 combined has only 1, it's more impressive.

I just got one that Googlewhack liked and submitted it. It's also clever political commentary , so that makes me truly elite . The whack? "pusillanimous mythomaniac". Check it out on the front page:

This is amusing. A bit of a contest going on. I put up:

Quote: " pusillanimous mythomaniac... John Kerry, naturally... NH, USA"

To which someone soon responds

Quote: " unlearnedly dense... George W. Bush, naturally. (Hey there, NH, USA)... -Agent Smith."

and I reply with

Quote: " unflinching tutelaries... Bush & C's more admirable actions. (Hey there, Agent Smith.)... NH, USA"

Wonder if he's up to the challenge

Mouse, you've made all of yours null by posting them here.

Jimmy, you failed...
Results 1 - 10 of about 1,570,000 for losers

Quote: "Spamalicious ownage"

Invalid, not in Google's dictionary (either word)

Quote: "Fooba Whop"

Also invalid for the same reasons

Took me about 2 mins

Both are real words. Do words that are a dashed word count? Such as di-something?

Thats why the real challenge is to do it with common words like...

@burger spout! which actually happens to return 3400, but you get the point.

Most of these are invalid

When you search in Google, the words you searched on appear top right. If they are underlined (linked), they are legitimate words. If they are not underlined, it signifies that the word is not in the dictionary.

These are invalid, as an example:

Pungee
dysphorictoxine
acetylsalicylic
Spamalicious
ownage
Fooba
Whop

The only clause is that some words are in dictionary.com, but Google uses a subset to make searching faster. If they are in dictionary.com, there is a second list at Googlewhack for real whacks that aren't verified by Google.

Quote: "Thats why the real challenge is to do it with common words like..."

Yes, that's the real challenge. Sangria, for example, has 263,000 hits. D_e_c_r_i_m_i_n_a_l_i_s_a_t_i_o_n also has several thousand, but together tehre is just one hit.
