I think its a reflection of the steadily increasing size of the community. We obviously have a certain drop out rate but this seems to be more than compensated by the rate of new members.

When you log in, there's an option to stay logged in indefinatley (ie. using a cookie). Won't this kind'a mean that people who aren't actually on the forums, just logged in indefinatly, will also be displayed?
