This basic code snippet shows how to randomly tweak the surface of a mesh to create random terrain, cave walls, etc. Hold the space bar to 'animate' the surface. Variations of this code can be used for a number of special effects such as objects that are affected by environmental factors such or music or for deformable terrain.

The image file "test.bmp" is just a place holder and any image will do.

I guess I should mention that I created this for DBP, but you might be able to use the technique in DBC.

That's pretty cool stuff . This could be used to make a new cave demo, since it doesn't work in DBP because of matrix rendering issues.

It works on an Intel business graphics chip, so it is safe to say that it will work with anything that can run DBP.
