in milkshape how do you get a background image off? also how do you link vertexes together to make an object?

get background image off just leave change bacground image blank and you use the Face tool to link vertices(needs be triangle) i only started milk shape yester day.....

u click face cammand then you click one vertex at a time till there connected

Or you can select each vertex and press the Create Face function (the "F" key should be a hotkey for it).
