The wood is a floor.... its just the angle of the camera probably.

Cinema 4D is GREAT!! for game modelling..... only problem...... the objects can't export animation?!?!? Also Cinema 4D is good for making animations and stuff..... And when i need to make some 2D stuff...... I use cinema 4D! its great!

the glass globe with stand is nice, the rest arent quite as impressive as your last renders, and the bullets are silver , and are far too short, if you get a much much nicer gun model then the render will be as impressive as the rest

WHY DON'T PEOPLE USE SOME FORM OF COMPRESSION ON THEIR IMAGES?

BMP CAN BE UP TO 50 TIMES GREATER FILE SIZE THAN A COMPRESSED FORMAT SUCH AS JPG OR GIF! USE IT!

I'm curious. One of my team mates uses cinema4d and we cant export it to a file that can be loaded into darkbasic pro.

He's tried exporting it to .3ds and even that can not be loaded into it, anyone know the answer, or have the same problem?

there are a few errors with the 3ds format afik, i never got it working, i believe theres a 3ds-->x converter somewhere, that should solve your problems

Cinema 4D export .X files ok......... but it can't export animation in them....... also if the poly count is too high on a model...... it won't load it for some reason..... and if you are having a problem with see through models....... scale object 1,-100 (that only works for a few cases)

lol JeBuS, calmos =)
it's his brandwith and his server space =)

until the day they have a problem, why should people look for something better?
why should i patch a game that doesn't have bugs? lol =) the "improve" conotation of technology is sometimes to far for us poor humans...

BTW really nice models. i really like the renders! light / reflection effets are superbs. what would we do without technology? lol

Sure, HE may have broadband, but not everyone does. His 1280x960 jpg of the pistol is 92.21KB, while the 270x203 bmp of his new gun are 161+KB apiece. That's 4x the image size for half the file size. Soon enough, just viewing his threads will require downloading 2-3MB of data.

Again, his problem, he won't be able to show his program the the 28.8k (aaargh) because they all come back the the previous page before the images appears =)
heh... what a discussion ! lol

lol =) if it comes all crappy change your jpg encoder. jpg in high resolution (well encoded) have an *almost* perfect image with 80% compression (approx).
why *almost*?
its true that JPG is a not a lossless compression, so if you change your jpg back in bmp, the original bmp will not have the same content, is compared with binary or hex methods (MD5 too perhaps?)
but this is not perceptible with the eye... or almost not.

i see no problem with his render sizes/filesizes, they load fine for me :p

to solve most of these problems save as a .png however some browsers dont support png but there a minority, well .png is compressed and no quality loss so its my prefered image format

gifs are smaller than png`s they have transparancy as png`s do but as i said not all browsers support them so i didnt want to deprive them of seeing my sig, my sig isnt soo graphically intence so 256 colours works nicely you can see a few bands but nothing to worry about, if its a render like above you need to show it in all its glory using a gif just wont do them justice

lol that was only a joke...
i agree with you...
but i must say that filetype should depend on what you want to do with your image
no transparency? JPG
animation? GIF
transparency (better)? PNG
=P

ok gun shape is basic, unless its futuristic style, not sure why green lights are coming out of the scope possibly nightvision?

but pistols rarely have scopes/sights since there not that accurate, well practice makes perfect make your models as good as your renders then great
