Hi, I have got a model but I don't know how to net it or unwrap it or whatever the term is for when you have all the faces on one screen so you can create a grid. Something about texture coordinate grid or something. I have seen photos of people who have created a net of a house then attached textures and stuff but i don't know how to get the net of the model. Please help

umm... you mean UV mapping?

Get Unwrap 3D ($40) or try and find Lithunwrap(free). And head over to [href]www.psionic3d.co.uk[/href] for some tutorials.

Unwrap is a wise choice, however it is possible in milkshape. Create your textures on your .bmp or whatever format. Then create groups in milkshape of the surfaces that you want to texture. You then select the Texture coordinate editor that is located in the "Window" menu of Milkshape and select each group and map it in the UV window that appears. It is kinda a pain, but it works. To tile map something, just enlarge the image of the section your working with larger than the texture. Hope this helps It is easier with Unwrap.
