The animation in 3d max works fine, but I can't get the animation to work in Darkabasic Pro. I saved the file as .3ds and use the command "loop object". Nothing happend! Anyone knows whats wrong???

theres been some 3ds changes, first they work, then not, then do, with the patches for dbp since 5.2 I believe - anyway you can download Caligari TrueSpace 3.2 (free) and use it to import your 3ds files, then re-export them as X for use in DBP. Its an extra step but well worth it to be able to use 3dsmax for modelling.

hope it works out

Exported .3DS objects seem to work fine for me when I use the old converter supplied with DBC. Don't know where you would find it these days, but it does it's job perfectly and it's free - if your stuck I could pop it in an email to you later.

I figure it out now. The animation in .3ds does work in DBpro. I realized that when I textured it, then the object won't load up in DBPro. 3ds does not support texture, therefore it will not load in darkbasicpro, which will cause it to stop loading. I think the texture needs to be converted. Now, I save the models in .x format since it'll automatically do the texture and animation.
