Hi, i have made my first website, it is about game making and has stuff about the games me and my brother make aswell as free source code, models and textures. I have finished the basic layout and now want stuff to fill it up, i need source code snippets, if anyone wants to submit there source code to my site then please e-mail me, all the source code on my site will be free and you should be aware of this when you submit yours.

I have only just started the site so it is pretty much empty apart from a bit about mine and my brothers game.

we are working on content for the site and will be adding to it daily, if you have any source code you would like to see on there then please contact me.

The website address is www.freewebs.com/iain1/ have a look and come back often, becouse i am preparing a lot of stuff to put on the site.

Thanks.

The website was made on freewebs.com, its really easy, you choose your template and then add content to them.

i hate freewebs slow everything including if your download is over 1mb
if you know any html then move to dbspot.com but if not then i guess you must stay there or get a site builder then move

if you ever want a place for people to be able to download files
or if you start to run out of bandwidth/web space or get tired of a slow transfer speed come to mine with free ftp and no stupid freebar
currently it is for almost nothing but ftp based but it does have a msall website feature added in

I have a few suggestions,

1. Have a clickable link, becuase many of us are very lazy, I'll provide one for you.
http://www.freewebs.com/iain1/

2. Is that big blank white space supposed to be above the [Games and game resources] thing? I don't like that.

3. In your games section, I think the pictures may be a bit too wide, you may have to shrink them a bit, becuase it stretches out your page, so you can see blue behind that blank white space, and the [Games and game resources] thing is on 2 different lines.

4. You will eventually need to link to my new coolyniss website, which should be released soon, if my darn host's MySQL servers get resurected....

5. Maybe you should put a banner/logo of your site (or another site's I guess) there instead of white, or does freewebs put that there automatically.... If so... I never did like freewebs.

Maybe you should try and learn some basic HTML, then you can have a completely original website, and have the pride to say you actually coded it.

There's my 2 tenths of a cent.

Thanks for your suggestions, the big blank white thing above games and game resources is supposed to say welcome, is that not showing and is the advert for nuclear glory showing or is it blank.
I am new to making websites, so it takes a bit of getting used to. I will try to do what you suggested.

Thanks.

My advice:

Learn some basic HTML commands (google it), look for tutorials, get a very basic knowledge of it.
Now, you simply make a website as best to your abilities, even if it turns out bad by some people's standards, it will be good in your eyes.
As you progress along and learn more things about HTML, you can keep improving your site with your own code.

These freeweb pre-made templates are boring, but I guess you could use them in the proccess of trying to learn HTML, if you want to that is.

There's my 2 tenths of a cent again... hey! thats 4 tenths!
