Hey guys, it's me again.

I know all of you have very hard time looking for 3d conversion tools but recently i've come across two.

Here are the links to the sites where you can download the programs

One is called crossroads, the other is called 3dwin5

Crossroads
http://www.europa.com/~keithr/Crossroads/index.html

3dwin5
http://www.tb-software.com/download.html

I havent really tested crossroads, or 3dwin5 extensively as i'm not much of a modeler, however i've done one test.

On 3dwin5 i've found that if i take one of my .x files, and import it.. then re-export it as .x it will not load into darkbasicpro. However, if you re-export it, then bring that file into 3dcanvas and reexport, it will work in darkbasicpro. This is as far of testing as i've gone.

I hope this helps you guys

Also, if anyone tries out different combo conversions with these programs, please make a post telling what you've done to get it to work(assuming it works!)

Ie. 3ds to .x

Thanks.

I actually use JTEdit for my conversion from 3DS to X. The models seem to work fine for me. The only catch is the orientation from the App you create the 3DS file in and JTEdit, but once you figure that out, it works great. Best of all JTEdit is free and a full functioning modelling app as well.

I then use a little app I wrote in DBPro that will load the X file from JTEdit, then i resave it as a .X file from DBPro. The files are smaller and they seem to run/load slightly faster in DBPro after resaving as .X from DBPro. Let me know if you want the DBPro model app i have.
