9/11 seems to fly by each year. So I thought I would just remind you all of the date today!

So much has happened since, and so much war is still going on because of that day.

I was in Second Grade, I was going to this kid I hated's house to take me to school since my mom's friends with his mom. His mom was watching the news and my mom and his mom wer talking. I checked TV and I saw..... The Twin Towers falling. I asked my mom what the twin towers weer and she told me. I saw on TV people jumping out of winodws people screaming. It was horrible. I thought (D*m you Osama!) Then I went to school, they raised the flag and we said a few patriotic songs. That day SUCKED!

Manticore, since I can't edit peoples' posts and remove the offending parts, I had to remove your whole entry. In the future please try to be tactful and avoid putting inflamatory statements in threads like this. Posts like that are not for threads of rememberance. You can create a new one if you need to get something off your chest.

While I disagree with what Bush is doing against terrorism (some of the new safety measures aren't bad, but an the war was unjustified in my opinion), and although I think some parts of 9/11 may have been a conspiracy (I won't get into this...), I do feel sorry for all the people who lost their lives. They were all too young...

Well if you look past the fact that many people lost their lives... surely you must see the many puns and conflicting views imbedded in those seven words.

Me neither really. I get it, but imagine saying that to someone whos relation died on that day, not very funny at all, though I know you don't mean to insult.

Isn't it? Wasn't it? Marvellous!

The sad thing is that with our goverment ... you really don't know for sure who is responsible. They could have just as easily blamed it on the one armed man. It is really sad regardless of who did it. I don't see how the people who planned that could do it. Bombing the military is one thing but civilians working is totally inexcusable. There is no punishment worthy of that crime. Even a slow painful death is too good for them.

And yet the USA were the ones to drop two Atomic Bombs in WWII, 100,000 civilians were killed in Hiroshima and over 50,000 were killed in Nagasaki (including a number of American POW's). Let's just hope it never happens again.

and then theres all that stuff to do with napalm and agent orange in Vietnam. My uncle got cancer from agent orange.

I don't think I can garentee that...

On topic, i did have a bit of a silent period to think yesterday. Very strange though, it was my friend Daniel's birthday on September 11th. And he is very anti-american

Oh, and i don't think they even bothered trying to find Osama. I mean, he's a 6'5" Arabian on dialisis. How hard can it be to find him?

dam right, i mean, how did neither of the black boxes survive the crash, yet they found a passport in the rubble, and by absolute coinsedence it happened to belong to one of the terrorists.

Quote: "And yet the USA were the ones to drop two Atomic Bombs in WWII, 100,000 civilians were killed in Hiroshima and over 50,000 were killed in Nagasaki"

your forgetting all the AMERICANS who lived near atom-bomb testing ranges in the desert, those who are still alive today have varius cancers and stuff, and 60-70 yrs later theyre still refused any form of compensation. they weren't even told about the testing, so didnt know to even leave the area.

so, obviusly, the US president at the time deserves to be put in trial the same way sadam is for the curds he killed.

the term "projection" comes to mind. its when you know your doing/thinking/are something bad, but dont wanna show it, so you find someone else, who doesnt nessecerily do it as much as you, and point out all the little things they do so the focus is on them rather than yourself.

example: area 51 (and dont say it doesnt exist- if u say it doesnt exist then your to much of an ignorant feckwit to be in this thread) SOMETHING is going onit has to be something BIG that they're hiding, not nesseserily ET related, but take into consideration all the coverups for it.

in iraq, theres a shed in someone's back garden, maybe the dude who owns it has a prized giant potato in there that he doesnt want anyone to see or touch incase it gets ruined and cant be entered for the next yrs contest, so bush says "yup, theres a misile in there somewhere" and boom, the man is killed, his wife raped AND THEN killed, children killed, eldest son taken to guantanamo bay, and the youngest daughter left to survive on her own. she gets killed a few days later while scavaging for food and the us troops recon shes a suicide bomber.

@Chris Knott I agree, things like Hiroshima, Vietnam, WW2 - all far worse, but i think that people get worked up about it because it was a shock, and very sudden, it started off as a normal morning and ended up as an abnormal one + the US wasnt at war at that point (as far as i know) so attacks wouldn't be expected

Okay, I'm not a censorship nut or anything, but this is the final warning before I just start deleting individual posts wholesale. This is a post to discuss and/or commemorate the loss of lives on 9/11, not to talk about conspiracy theories or vent anger on the US government.

its cos us westerners are ignorant. when we're not suffering, everythings hunky-dorey, and we dont give a crap about the southern divide, and then when we get attacked we're like "wtf, we dont deserve this" the irony is, its the ppl who are more like that who probably cause the most sufferring world wide.

ok... so what i should be saying:

commiserations to anyone who sees this and has a close one who got killed. i find it sad that terrorists have to go to these kind of extremes, since killing civilians like this makes them no better than those who do injustice to them, and killing someone through hate makes you lower than any form of animal, since even animals dont kill through hate. it also sad that the easterners and middle easteners and sub saharans and arabs get mistreated in the first place for there hate for westereners to reach this low, and its also sad how we fight back.

wish there could be a more grown up way about solving world problems, but sometimes a physical slap in the face is the only way to get someones attention.

Terrorists don't have to sink to this level. They never have to. They chose to, are driven to by fanatics and zealots who mask evil with their religion or their science or their patriotism.

But this really should be in a new thread
