yeah in the same way that X11 looks like WinAPI or GTK i suppose.
Outside of Windows, Firefox is a good 3rd Party Choice.
On MacOSX, nothing beats iBrowser/Safari.
Windows... hmm well it's a toss up really, sure FireFox has all the features which IE should have, but it isn't *as* quick even though it does come closer each build it still isn't there.
There's also the compatibility factor with Microsoft Standards that it lacks, as well as it's Macromedia Flash layering is very annoying.
You have to really weight up for Windows what you feel is best, especially now with Explorer's security lock down features in Service Pack 2.
FireFox is a great browser, but it wouldn't take much for someone to take Microsoft Explorer technology and create something close to FireFox in terms of features.
Worth checking out, and worth having on your system. But I don't think it will ever replace Explorer as my main browser.
