i just made this quick to sort my MP3s into directories. it only uses the filename and looks for a dash, and parses the name like that, then it just puts it into the right directory.

dead simple, doesn't realy warrant a post here, but nevermind.

it took about 20 secs to do about 900 files

I don't have a sig, live with it.

that assumes that your files all follow the same naming convention. I could show you code how to get the id3tag info, or you could search here. I think someone posted a snippet for that awhile back.

oh yeah, i know its extremely flawed, but all my mp3s were named like that (altho, At the Drive-in went a bit tits up)

just thought i'd post really.

whats LLRGT like now phaelax? i can't get on it coz my computer hates me.
