Well the story goes that I wasn't able to code as much as I wanted to this summer - I had a job and a computer that was only good for sequencing music.

I recently got a <cough> new computer, and had hoped that the backup copy I made of Milkshape would install fine. Anyways, apparently Milkshape requires the product key again. It would seem that you need to buy Milkshape again to have it on more than one of YOUR computers - I'm not sure how this copyright works. I've got so many expenses right now that I'm wary of shelling out another $25.

you bought it the first time? if so, simply email the retailer that you bought it from with your original proof of purchase and tell them that you simply are changing workstations.

Most companies are not very anal about that.

I have the exact same problem. I used Milkshape at home, and now I am in college. They gave me a laptop, and I want to use Milkshape on it. I have a huge problem though...I can't find my product code. I probably just deleted it or threw it away once it worked. I am a college student, so I don't have any money. I just want to use Milkshape again...

@ Bolt

We are almost exactly on the same page... As a matter of fact, even if I were to notify the company that I wanted to change computers, I have a problem because I do not have access to the original workstation at this time.

College Student and can't afford another £12.50?
Something seems wrong there, but well anyways send Mete and email saying you've lost your key from the email address and name you used to register.

if you on his books he'll send you your key again.
pretty much how it works.

I have no extra money at all right now...I am waiting to recieve my federal aid grants. I will have some money then, but i don't really want to spend it on programs that I already bought anyway. But that doesn't matter anymore, thanks to your advice. I will send him an email and hope I can get Milkshape working on my new laptop.

Thanks Raven
