Well i can't give you guys the pics yet, but he's not finished. so far he's a man who was given the power to transform into this machine known as Mothman. Named after a moth. He called upon to become the mothman to hunt down all the rogue demons and monsters that roam the earth. so far he looks interesting.he's only in black and white and i was wondering what you guys think of this superheroe's story so far. the mothman is machine, but the man inside is a human chosen by hell to hunt down monsters and all that is evil. so tell me what you guys think of him.

With only my imagination to go on, he looks great, a little high poly perhaps, and the showercap just does'nt fit right.

Please post a screenie when showcasing models, and in the right forum.

I like the added detail you put in this model. Like the toilet paper hanging out the back of his pants. It's little details like that that make models superb.

thanks. i guess i should fix his pelvis and i guess i need to fix his thighs too. Here's a pic of his front view to get a good look at him. I made him on Wings 3D, but i once thought that Wings 3D couldn't do humanoid models, but i guess i was wrong about it.

really the only big thing i see wrong with your model is the chest and the shoulders. the chest doesnt flow into the arms well.

try and move the shoulder pads closer to the neck. put them so that they cover the pit area.

The feet look a little strange, other then that it looks great. Robot with a human inside, reminds me of Robocop.

so far the feet has been fixed. All i need is finishing touches with the head and the shoulder pads, but i decied to keep it likethat since it's only my first finished model. man it took me weeks cause i kept on changing him and had no solid plans. well anyways i hope the next one will take shorter time.

well i made them in wings 3d which is extremely easy to use for me. Right now im working on my projects solo only, but im willing to work on models for ppl for free, but bad news. My computer broke down and i had to use my bro's computer. That's what happened so far. if anyone wants me to do some hack and slash style im trying to get my computer to work and still trying to get them to animate on any prog i can find right now. i can make you some around 900-2000 polys once i get my computer to work. I'm not desparate though to join a team, but i am willing to work on models for ppl. all i can say is that im not that good at it and i haven't tried to model variety of kinds of models yet. all i can say is that i will make some freeware models. i can't really make everyone happy though. lol. yes andrew i will help you out if i can get my computer to work the sad thing is that i don't have back up and that model was a waste. makes me sad to loose a over 5 gigs of stuff with no back up

yes crzy programmer. i was until my computer broke down just within a month until i get my computer fixed and i'll reinvent the Mothman. I was planning to make a beat em' up game with him. Hopefully he'll be better than the old and will take less time to make him. hopefully he'll be around 900-1100 polys. This game will consist of 12 levels and the bosses are based on his greatest foes. Hopefully his next project will have the second greatest foes.

Is it me or does your guy look remarkably like a *power ranger*?

maybe you should see if you can grap some pics from somewhere? so you can either get a little insperation or make it look less like one dependent on if you want it to look like one or not.

great model all the same.

Keep up the good work

*I've been watching your other models in the other threads too and I think in the not too distant future you may actually be able to be able to make a living out of modelling.

well i don't really care if i can make a living out of this, but all i want to do is express my imagination and ideas little at a time. so far he is being redesigned since my computer broke down and and i need to start all over. i just need one or two weeks until i can get this guy to fix my computer for me. Until then you'll see the newer version of Mothman. Im planning to change his helmet into a mask like a power ranger helmet into a spiderman like mask. im trying not to copy cat anyone espcially the power rangers. lol... well so far im planning to make him a little different so he'll look more mature and better for mature audience. im planning to go for teen audience or something around there. my game im planning is supposed to be about this superhero (which is Mothman of course!) which the game captures some of his greatest sagas and battles during his early times. so the story won't be the same thing, but it'll be about 3 chapters which is kinda ok storylines. i figured that mothman's helmet makes him look kiddish like superhero so i'm planning to change him. so far im planning to make him once i get my computer to work and planning to buy darkbasic pro, but i was working on the trial version, until the computer problem. I'm planning to get myself the online version of Dark Basic Pro. so that way i can use it right away. there's not much to do unless my computer is working again.

I would say that his feet look like they are curving outward rather than in like normal feet, also you might want to define his hips a bit more and make his legs more girthy.

Is he supposed to be a humanoid or an android? just because his arms seem to be hanging from the armour rather than attached to the torso.

Other wise not a bad model

Edit: Personally I prefer the model you posted before opposed to this one, i think it had better shape

did you do this using a mouse? or was it an already made model and you just mixed and match?

anyways, I think it needs details and textures. It looks kinda plain..

well yes i made him using my mouse in Wings 3D. and his chest is not flat, but needs to look more organic that way he'll not have that flat chest look even though he isn't. Well i forgot where to get uv mapper and i need a link to it please. and i need some help on how to texture and stuff like tutorials on uv mapper. I'll google for uv mapper for the meantime.

i can take it supremacy project. im just pointing out that it's not flat, but since you say so cause it really does look flat even though his chest is not really flat you know what i mean. it may look flat but it just needs to be organic that way it won't have that flat chested look. sorry if i made you think that i can't take a critic. because im not im just pointing out what.

gir you are right about the before one. it's because i spent more time on the old one and this one took me one day to do it. i guess i need to fix and shapen him up. sorry about posting twice.

[Edit] Well seems like i still need to make him more organic and i still need to figure out more problems to him. After finishing touches on him on the molding then i'll move on to the next step and texture him with rich textures. If you see all those white colors on him all of those will be changed to metal textures and the black part i need to make it like a dark black car metal like texture and then i'll finish that then do some finishing touches on that step then move on to aimatiing him. i heard that blender can animate, but is characterfx better at it? i need a very easy animation program.

i have changed him again but the bad news is that he's being redesigned and will have that final fantasy like costume and will not look any close to the old concept look. so far i haven't begun on the new look, but i still have the new model. I hope to begin on the new concept look. which he'll be in cloth and armor instead of a heavy armor. If i go with the new concept look i might have to start changing the storyline as well like for an example he might not be able to transform into the costume. Im changing him so he'll start to have a mature final fantasy like look. So far my game will be able to let you play as either one out of the 100 playable. The game is a mix of dynasty warriors type of game with a mix of a beat em' up style as well. in a level it'll be you or 2 players go up against an army of baddies and bosses will be around the levels as well and all levels you'll be assisted by other good guys. so that's my game im planning to make. My game is up to 4 players split screen. The game will not have any upgrades or any leveling up to do though. Most characters will have their own missions in Story mode as well. It'll take you to their first greatest saga. Im planning to begin it whenever and spend a year to make this game. So far im going solo on my projects. 100 characters mean a nearly 50 to 60 different stories to play. Each story has up to 12 levels the most, but probably will be around 3-6 levels. Levels won't be that huge though so you don't need to do any long walking around, but just pure fighting all the time. some levels will be huge though.

That project you doing sounds very complicated indeed. I hope that goes well for you, and you should post updates as you go along.

I also much ratherd the model before these ones you have posted here; he has a whole lot more shape. The only major fault I see, is his feet. They need to be wider on the ends, and slightly curved inwards.

Great work, keep it up.

Okay this is what i'm making changes to my project and I'm combining the Mothman project with my main project so I'm making a big game for my first game. My first game will have a number of 100 characters to choosee from and about 50-60 stories to play. One of them will be my Mothman character. Each story will be 3-12 levels long depending on the character you pick. Most the of the characters will have 3-5 levels long and the game will have probably up to maybe around 12 different levels. I'm wondering if this is too much 3d models to my project. So far I only need to texture Mothman and so far I have no idea to do it. I also need to animate him. If i can animate him then the rest of my characters will be easier because Mothman will have lots of animations to be done. Mothman has up to seven different costumes, but I'm not making the other 6 costumes yet. Each costume has a different set of powers and moves. So in the game he can change anytime into any of the costume. The game is aiming to have a few buttons like attack, jump,dash/fly,weapon attack, activate weapon, special 1,special 2. The mothman will use two more buttons which is use for toggling his costumes. I was aiming to use the amount of buttons used on a Playstation 2 so that's why I plan to use tha many buttons. The game will also have a few combos for the characters too. I wanting to add enough things into my game as much as possible. I was gonna use a feature called create a character, but I didn't want to get into yet until I get to my third project. So far i want to give my first game a lot of stuff which means a lot of work and i'm working on this solo and it might take me a few years, but I'm willing to do it. After my first project is done then all the rest of my game won't be hard because all my project uses the same engine. The good thing about each new project is that i have fewer and newer characters so that way it's easier for me. With that my game can have other new features like more levels more stuff to other features.

Okay I've done that before and never got the chance to work on it, but if i have to do it again i have to right? Thanks I'd thought that Blender was the only way to go and Blender was too hard for me to learn to use it.
