Get back, human! Back! Back! My mod spot! Mine! Mine!!!
On a more serious note, why not have 2 more mods...I'd like to help out with the Game Theory board, as it's bound to grow rampant like the Team Requests with time.

All the new mods were added about a week ago so if Rich really thought we needed more than there is now, I believe he would've added a couple more then as well.

Mods are supposed to be people who hang around all the time to keep things in order. 1 month is too long for a mod to be absent. You don't get my vote. Sorry.

[edit] Plus THE man said you have to be registered for a year.

6 months should have been enough, and I was taking a well-needed break from the hectic world of creating plots. I wasn't really interested in being a mod either...until now. With this sudden flood of moderators, I'm sure there can be more. Besides, I know Rich would say if he needed more, but he wouldn't have looked here!

No - I specialize in concept design. However, I can come up with a full script/story (scratchier than steel wool, though), so I am pretty much an author. Anyway, where are all of these mods going?

I'm not part of this 'following' of potential mods, but I want to be able to help keep things in control, especially the Team Request boards.

6 months isn't enough, don't you know that rules are made to be bent? *cough* I mean not bent? It was clearly stated that you must have been here at least 1 year. Clearly you arent eligable.

And again, if he wanted "just one more mod" he would make "just one more mod" Even though he's recently added... what... 6? 7? I'm sure if he wanted "just one more mod" he'd ask me.

And, if I remember correctly, none of the new mods actually asked to be a mod. *HINT HINT*

Mmmm.. If I remember correctly, didn't some nominate themselves, with forum members gladly voting for them? Or was it forum members voted for them, and they gladly accepted? Or both?

Forum members voted for us and then we'd reply with something along the lines of: "Thanks for the support, if I become a mod I'll try to keep things in order", etc. I don't believe anyone's ever piped up and asked to be a mod and have then actually been selected. So yeah, you really shouldn't ask to be a mod.

Rich will usually only mod people that he knows personally to some extent, a rampant mod could cause a lot of damage. I would'nt hold your breaths guys, I think he already modded more people than he originally planned to.

Besides, I don't think you guys are old enough to get the official mod squad tattoo, you'd have to draw yours on everyday with felt pen.

All of the mods are well respected, regular contributors. They've all done something significant by way of development or assisting others.

...and the Team Requests board is back in control. You missed a lot while you were gone!

This entire board has too many mods already. I manage life, work, marriage, coding, gaming etc...and somehow I'm still ahead of the forum. I've checked the thing so much since I've joined that I'm waiting for the next post most of the time. At least the wife hasn't complained yet, I might be spending more time coding, playing with DarkBASIC Pro, and checking the forum then time spent with her.

Bah, I think we should just get rid of all the mods and turn the forum into an anarchist one, at least nobody will ask to become a mod because there is none in the first place
