The human brain is still the clear winner.

After that, it depends on what you can afford. Remember, there is no 'best', there is only what works best for you. I'm cheap, so Metasequoia LE or Milkshape 3D is the modeller I use. I add basic animation with MS3D or Character FX. There are much better tools, but they can cost a lot of money. For some people, Blender 3D is the best since it is free and has a ton of features once you master the interface.

Best industry animation tool is Sega|Animanium, if your on a budget Hash Animation:Master.

If you have a product like 3D Studio Max, Maya, Softimage or trueSpace the built-in Animation tools are usually the best to work with.

Everything usually depends on what you want to do, and what is within your price range; most importantly HOW serious you are about it.

There is a product TGC have a demo up for (try to download MobileBasic for it), not sure how much it is or if it's out yet, but it is actually surprisingly decent.

Personally I like to import my finished .3ds into characterfx and animate it in there.

Is there any animation software out there that actually produces working animations that work in DB classic? I've tried JT edit; there, using bones makes the object dissappear

So y`all - please help...

For when they said I couldn't, I did...
