I'm actually not impressed with this the graphics look less than normal S-E work which is saying alot.

Every time I see a game that tries to emulate anime in 3d, it reminds me of how much I can't stand the art style

That aside, don't Square's spinoffs have a rather bad rep? FF Tactics for example? Not that I've played them or plan too, but just from that I've heard...

FF Tactics is a great game but this just looks bad in the graphics side, hopefully it can make up for it in gameplay.

I heard about this game about 2 weeks ago. All i could say at first is "Nooo!". But then i put some thought into it. A Devil May Cry type 3rd person shooter, starring our Vincent Valentine. He fits the role of a 3rd person shooter, looks the role, acts the role, hell he is the role. Now, i have never seen a (or want to play till this) 3rd person shooter, So i dunno if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Obviously thoughm they aren't trying to use some of the RPG talent from Enix yet are they?

Im so looking foward to all the whole new ff7 theme. The movie Advent Children (sequel), another game FF7-Before crisis (prequel), and this. It just keeps getting better - FF7 being my favourite game and all. I just wonder if any will be as origonal/good as the first one... Most probably not...

Heh... just saw the Advent Children trailer... one word: Arty. If the protaganists in the movie ever wear an expresion except for 'angsty' and 'smirking' I'll eat my hat.

Not that it doesn't look fun... I actually might enjoy it .

That's why Final Fantasys tend to only be called Final Fantasy VII or Final Fantasy XVI

i actually like the graphics on this one. they kind of look like.. the graphics from FF7! how about that! they're not top-notch but they're very comfortable-feeling.

at least this means they're probably putting more work into gameplay. i'd rather have gameplay than realistic graphics.

OK enough of that damn DBP fanboy banner. i'm NOT a DBP fanboy in any way. i haven't used DBP in over a year, and i don't really plan on using it again.
