I just recieved word from my host that my server is down and it won't be fixed for 2 weeks!! no hosting 2 weeks!!

Well, try having your host down for almost 2 months
That's why my my cat website isn't released...

At least it's a free host though.. But still.. 2 months? They said 2-3 days originally... Gah

Yah, i know but they are in orlando and underground and some of the building collapsed- my server isn't damaged but they are repiaring others and mine is on standby untill then... Good news is my cousins server would have been destroyed-I switched to a better host, my host..

Our host replyed saying its just a porblem, and he will forward it to the administrators, and should be fixed in 2-3 days. Then they say administrators are too busy adding new servers, instead of fixing a porblem. Then they say hurricanes were the cause... Wouldn't they have known it was a hurricane when the problem started? Then they say they are buying new top of the line servers. Few days later, they have the servers and are installing them. Few days to a week later they say they are still installing hardware... Over bout 2 months time...

I love my host...

The strange thing is, one big company owns a bunch of different hosts, and all the other ones work, except mine. I guess I chose the lucky host hurricane areas.

Might not have been a good idea to have your server in Florida now was it. Those hurricans are really nasty, glad I'm just out of reach from them, though we get plenty of rain.

Hope your server gets up soon the both of ya.

any onme heard of self[i][/i] hosting try mine if you can't keep your pc on allt eh time like i can(keep mine on for 2 weeks and the cpu temp still stays below 100) even though i don't have any real backup plan i am trying to get a sql server so i might give you an invite in your e-mail newbie when i get sql running and you can use me as a temp host unbtil your is fixed although my pc is only on 95% of the time my dsl is usually the problem i have these little flash outs that can last from 10 seconds to 3 days and am about to get a domain and am working on a way to host sub domains and domains

I actually already have a temporary server, hosted by the same company .

All I needed to do was recode ever single page to work with that sites SQL instead of the other! Arg....

I've only actually shown my site to 2 people on IRC and the forums.
