point and click is a way of making a game - where you literally point and click with your mouse to play. It is normally used for puzzle games ... "Monkey Island", "Grim Fandango" and the more modern "Sherlock Holmes and he Silver Earring" are all point and click games.

If you want to implement point and click in a game, the way I would program it would be to use area polygons on pieces of the screen for different scenes in the game... I.e. you use an array to store different points of a 2D shape in the screen area, and detect when the mouse is inside that area (using maths im not too sure on), then detect when they click.

I may try and figure out how it works.

thnx dj chainz, should have mentioned before... im very new to this...I know the basics but still trying to learn. Aprecciate the responses do you or anyone else have a code snippet that i could look at for this typ of game ? thnx again guys
