how can you install new .mat (matlibs materials) files in 3dsmax? i downloaded some and copied to them to the matlibs folder in 3dsmax but wheni run it they still dont show. help please

they should show up - are you looking in the right place, open max up open the material editor (m), clicking the standard button, then in the dialog which has opened, the material browser, click the top most radio button on the left hand side with the label "Mtl Library", then click on the meterial you want
