Why not do some research and see what DLL other programs use to print, and use that in your project?

@heartbane:
That will work, but what if the computer you are installing the app on doesnt have notepad, or wordpad, or bbedit? Wouldnt be easier just to print within the program?

Yeah...

DOWNLOAD PLUGINS HERE: http://www.davidtattersall.me.uk/ and select "DarkBasic"

That would be one strange Windows machine. I doubt if there is any such machine.

Wouldnt be easier just to print within the program? This accomplishes that task.

Hi heartbone

I dident know you could use
Execute File "wordpad", "/p text.txt", ""

I altered it to this

Hi MSon, I hope that you fixed your system.

AlienMan: "Dude, i'll try anything at this point..."

Apparently not.

One more time. I think that Wordpad is the most efficient and effective way to do printing from a program. I think that you can even use fonts, colors and sizes in your printouts! Why would you want to "reinvent the wheel", so to speak?

I have been looking for a printing dll for some time now... and the thing about printing it from word pad or note pad...kinda freaky at first...that means you would be opening it up and printing from the app. which could be time consumming.

Hey people I've got it:

For Pictures type:
[href]Execute File "mspaint", "/p apicture.jpg", ""

For Text type:
Execute File "Wordpad", "/p text.txt", ""

Clearly for pictures you need paint and for text u need wordpad but almost every computer in the world has those 2 programs

ITS notepad considering darkbasic programs take up like 90% of system resources while running and notepad takes up like 0.1% i dont think it will slow down anything

JUST USE THE NOTEPAD WAY U IDIOTS

[ 21.27GB / 74.52GB ] [ 235MB / 511MB ] [ RADEON 9500 PRO / 9700 @ 1280x934 ] [ Windows XP ][ Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.00GHz @ 1993MHz ]

but use wordpad for formatted text

quit hiting the computer; computers can only do what they are told so we must be telling them to do wrong things
