I understand how to texture a plain with a 2d image or sprite. What I want to know is if a gif can be used as a texture. Ive switched from 3D models for enemies to 2D enemies like in the old school Doom, Duke3D, Hexen, Blood, Powerslave, Shadow Warrior...you get the point
Arkheii's made a perfect example of this. God bless him. Its flawless. Now what Im trying to do is get some animated textures onto a plain, so I can make an old school FPS.

There is a command like: 'Play Animation To Image' which I think will help.

I got a better question, has anyone in these forums EVER attempted making a more basic FPS using sprites instead of 3D models. If so, please contact me, im curious.
