Now when I say free I mean free. Not free but you can't save 'till you register or only a 30 day trial. Are there any 3D animators out there that do Limb Based animation that are compatible with Dark Basic Classic.

I am currently working on : A Medievil style game
By the way I'm 13 years old!!

but it can't export animation, it will export your model in all the different poses

EG say you have 10 frames of animation, anim8tor will export 10 different models with different poses

So? Thats not a good enough excuse. Your parents/guardians have a credit card or paypal account or whatever that they'll let you use for a single purchase? Milkshape isn't all that expensive, $20, and mowing just a couple of lawns will be just fine. Or if you want cheaper, get CharacterFX, like suggested above, and use a seperate modelling program. $15. Chump change.

Cheers,
Preston

Is there like a An8 to 3DS convertor for anim8or. Not that french one though. I could use something like that. Or if there is another way of exporting animations could someone point that out.

Unfortunately, there isn't really such a thing as a free lunch, which tastes good. And being in the UK doesn't prohibit you from purchasing stuff over seas - for example, I bought "ultimate unwrap 3d" for $35 USD ...

My suggested route would be the following:
Wings3D - www.wings3d.com - FREE
lithunwrap - www.google.com - FREE
CharacterFX - www.insanesoftware.de - $15

You could possibly skip CFX and hope that some nice person on the forum will animate your models for you. Just get through the first two steps first before you splash out on paid software - become a good modeller/skinner then worry about animation...

ahhh I clean forgot to mention it but...softimage XSI exp is free...its a full professional program but it does have some short comings such as limited import and export formats not to mention watermarking...but..it does export to dbp, cause its a half life 2 modding app..correct me if I'm wrong but dbp supports half life and quake.

Most free animators are really hard to figure out how to use. Infact, all of them for me! So i just bought characterFX...Extremely easy to use. It's probably your best bet for animating. If you absolutely need a FREE one though. Then yes, JTEdit would probably be your best bet. I just dont know how to export in it

When it comes to programing, I'm on fire!

Just remember that most packages are hard to learn and you really need to take your time and be patience. You won't learn an app like JTedit in just a day or so... Anyway, JTEdit is indeed your best bet if you want a freeware app.
