Hi I have a soccerball model that I need UV mapped and exported to .X, if anyone is willing to help me can they please email me and I'll reply back with the model and texture.

umm... is it just a sphere? os does it have some kind of geometry that makes it "soccer-ball-like"?

I don't want to uv_map your model, but don't ask why.

Ok, I'll tell you why.

If you never learn to uv map something as simple as a soccer ball, you're not going to get very far as an indepenedent programmer.

1.) Download Lithunwrap, open it up.
2.) Load your model, and select all faces.
3.) Set uv mapping style to box.
4.) Scale all the pieces so they fill the uv space completely.
5.) Save the uv map as .bmp
6.) Save your model as .x
7.) Load the .bmp in a paint programmer and color it in.
8.) Go into dbp and texture your object.

No it's not like that, I don't understand how exactly I use Wing's uv mapping program. I've used other uv mappers like the one in Anim8or and GSL.
