As the title says list your favorite or favorites.
One for each category is preferred.
Action
Kill Bill:
Anime, and Live Action? What could be better?
Sci-Fi
The Chronicles of Riddick
Definatly not the best, but the character Riddick was just, awesome, he was one of the best Anti-Heroes I saw, and for that reason this is my favorite Sci-Fi.
Fantasy
The Lord of the Rings : The Fellowship of the Ring
RotK, too long, too much whispering.
Two Towers, too focused on Helm's Deep rather than Sam and Frodo, Plus, I have to wait for the 3rd movie for Shelob? I want my money back!
The Fellowship was perfect if you ask me.
Kung Fu
(If you haven't figured this out, shame on you!)
Shaolin Soccer
Damn, it's one funny movie. Alot of sweet kung- fu is what alows this to qualify for me, but it was just so funny anyways, not putting this as my favorite would be a sign of the apocalypse!
That's it.
Post your favorite movies, and some comments too.

GOOD, Sam and Frodo were the only reasons i did not see the film more than twice...

Action: Dunno, I like lots of action films but none stick out...except some film about an underground prison in the future...it sucked but was so crud it ruled

Sci-fi: The first Matrix film, not the other two...

Fantasy: Um...Sabriel...the BOOK, i cant remember any fantasy films...the book does rule

Kung-fu: The One - Jet Li is so much cooler than everyone else...he beat himself!!!! Although Master with Cracked Fingers had comic value...

I used ... 9 times in this post... No wait 10... No that's 12... Dammit 13 then.

There is a game( a flash one) at the Harper Collins .CO.Uk site.
It's a horrible game though. I liked the book at first, but then it just got worse and worse if you asked me. Now Sea of Swords, The Drizzt book is great. Then again, it was by R.A Salvatore.

don't worry i know lots of ppl who like shaolin soccer it was dubbed in hmong b4 the english release and the chinese version is better in my opinion. so i seen it b4 it was released in american ppl. no matter it's all good. im glad to see shaolin soccer fans here. i once heard that stephen chow was supposed to help promote the movie in america but he never really came. so it wasn't as big as planned in american and maybe around the world.

Favorite movie/series..

Well, i really enjoyed Dune(the newest one)
I also liked Equillibrium(One that a lot of people, for some odd reason, have not heard or seen of).. But i highly suggest you pick it up, it's like a mix of minority report/the matrix for storyline and action, very interesting show.

Matrix's were good, but after the last two came out i was kinda like.. meh.
Lotr's are good, all of them i enjoyed.

*checks his movie cabinet, what else we got here...*
Of course starwars were all good, the old ones more so than the new ones.

But the one i'm always tempted to make a game after, is dune. I think it has such potential. Just havent gotten around to making any basic engines for it yet, and the ideas i have in my head for it are crazilly complex.

Fantastic film. Bought the DVD as soon as it came out. Was worse than the original matrix, but miles better than it's sequels. Thought more 1984 than Minority Report, but I know what you mean.

Hmmm. I know. Films that you liked, but most other people didn't? Would have to say Equillibrium, Interview with the vampire, The Truman show. Think of more later...

Cheers

How many of you guys liked Riddick, because that was a misunderstood movie, sure PitchBlack and the game were better, but it was still a good movie.

Haven't actually seen it, mainly because everyone who did thought it was rubbish. Niceish looking rubbish mind. If Pitch Black was better then I don't hold out much hope. Pitch Black started ok, but was basically a B-movie horror. Wasn't as good as it could have been IMO. Best bit was the suprise end. Don't want to give anything away to anyone who hasn't seen it, but did suprise me. Only seen one other film that did exactly that right at the end of the film.

Cheers

Well the reason Pitch Black would be "B-rated" is because it was of low production value and wasn't really one film that had millions spent on it.

Pitch black was pretty good, It isn't as stupid as horror movies usually are, I mean it stays at least slightly believable.

I liked Pitch Black, it's no Aliens, but it was a decent movie, Riddick is a great action hero type - stealth killing nutcase with a heart of gold - hasn't been a better anti-hero since Leon. The Riddick game is pretty good for what I've played of it. I'd probably prefer it to stay in the prison style, rather than go all-out predictable FPS.

Action: Matrix(1)
Sci Fi: Aliens
Fantasy:LOTR Two Towers
Kung Fu:The Karate Kid, but my fave Kung Fu dude would have to be Lone Wolf (And Cub).

Hey - Kung Fu fans, you've all got Kung Fu Chaos huh? - that's a damn great and very funny game, you even get to play as Lone Wolf (and cub), MONKEY!, and some other guys I'm not sure who're supposed to be. It's on XBox and is well worth checking out - it's like a mix between the Ninja Turtles arcade game and Banzai (the C4 series).

Have you unlocked the cute little yoyo girl yet? - damn she's hot!.

I like the mini-games too, but they're a bit rediculously difficult later on - the best level has to be the titanic though - when they're hanging onto the boat when it dunks under - classic.
