I know Uberwiggett isn't the smartest programmer around, but if "3D Chat" isn't an appropriate forum for posting a question about a product used in 3D game making, we might as well all give up and go home now.

I tried a demo of the program you mentioned and wasn't all that thrilled. IMHO, it was trying to be too many things to too many people, and didn't excel at any of them. I don't think there's a single program out there that will meet all your needs if you're going to create a game from the ground-up.
For model creation, I spent a lot of time struggling with the poor user interface of GameSpace (and also a trial version of its big brother, TrueSpace). I finally gave up on the modeling and bought some commercial low-poly models from Geo-Metricks. From there, it's been easier to use products like GameSpace or MilkShape to do texturing of the models and I'm slowly gaining enough expertise to begin making changes to the actual 3D structures of the models that I bought. I liken this approach to a beginning programmer who starts out by modifying example programs that come with the help files instead of trying to code a 10,000+ line program from scratch. Nothing in the 3D Game Creator program jumped out at me as being particularly helpful in model creation or editing.
You also asked about creating scenes. I think the 3D Game Creator also features some type of level creator/exporter? Again, that type of feature hasn't been very useful to me. The new terrain pack plugin for DBP is awesome (but still has some bugs). I think Bryce V5 is still the best thing around for creating environmental objects like skyboxes, billboarding scenery, etc. Couple that with Adobe Photoshop Elements and a few plugins from Flaming Pear for building planets, "starboxes", etc. and for about $130 you've got some really useful software that you can also use for stuff other than creating games.
So that's my two cents' worth. Very sorry the one poster was so rude in his replies. I thought your question was very appropriate to this forum. It's certainly more relevant than something moronic like "I know girls aren't the smartest bunch"...
