Hi, Just a quick couple of Qs

- Will the final version include gun media with hands?

- How easy is it to import your own gun. Does the model have to fit certain dimensions / orientation, or is there a config editor that allows you to tweak settings to get it to appear right?

Thanks

Yeah, I noticed the lack of hands on the gun, it looks horrible.

I'm not sure it matters - Painkiller (my reference PC FPS!) doesn't have hands either and you don't care one bit when you've a hundred zombies all wanting a piece of you

That's because in Painkiller, you can't see the space where the hand would be. In the FPSC demo you can see where the hands would be holding the shotgun but they're mysteriously not there, this is especially the case when the gun is reloaded. I'm sure Painkiller's unconventional weapons also play a large part in making up for the lack of hands.

As Exeat says, the videos showed guns blatantly without hands -that was the only thing that stuck out- it really does make it look unprofessional.

Yeah in the video the gun's just floating, it looks awful. Like the look of the editor though

*reluctently jumps on band wagon*

ya...that's my one gripe also...everything looked perfect(except maybe the lack of ragdolls ...) but the gun floating in the air looked horrible...

although painkiller may have had no hands...i've never played it...and my favourite FPS(halo ) uses hands and it looks good to see it being reloaded ect...

how will we be able to create guns, and other characters for that matter, will fpsc include a model editor? i hope so because 3d modeling is hard stuff and i know that fpsc makes game creation easy and i know if they implemented something like a 3d model editor is would also be jsut as easy

I wonder where you'd hear that, considering the only people who have tested FPSC is the TGC Team, and I seriously doubt they'd demote their own product. Secondly, there isn't even a model editor included, so stop giving out misinformation.

Well, I was wondering if you can have more than one wepon at the same time so you can use a different gun when you want or do you have to pick up the wepons when you want to use them?

You cannot weild two different weapons AT ONCE, but you can certainly carry more than one type of gun. In the video you saw them carry a shotgun and then pick-up a mini-gun and switch back to the shot-gun again. It's just the usual key presses 1 to 0.

well, it will have hands for the weapons etc ...
but, how much will be subtiles the player character's actions?
i.e. let's say that, to add complexity to my game, I want that the
player character must digit a correct key sequence on a key panel
(to open a door closed by a switch -like that shown in the video-
or to neutralize an explosive), will I be able to implement such
actions and therefore see it moving his/her fingers to push a particular key ?

Another question: will the player character be able to climb vertical ramps by his/her hands too ? about FPS genre, I remember such action in a old 3d game like Turok...
bye
