Just a little question,

With all these features that I keep seeing and hearing about, This may not be as far-fetched as I thouhgt it was...

Will be possible to place a weapon in a level, and have it as a "turret" type object.
Where, the player wanders up to it, presses say "T" on the keyboard, and they are put into the turret, with full control over the weapon, but they cannot move?

For an example, lets say there is a truck as a scenery object ( stationary, can't move ), and on the back of it, there is a machine gun mounted.
Can the player run up to it, then get control over the machine gun?

Thanks,
Jess.

should be possible... you could do the following

1) make the model of the gun
2) when you press T add a weapon to your inventory and remove the rest.... make it so you cant rotate..

Sorted.

There might be another way though
