With the FPSC, will players be able to save games, open saved games, control certain game settings (detail, etc.)?

These options were not available in 3DGM and would be a necessity in FPSC.

Thanks,

Yes to all of the above - saving is limited to a single game ATM

What kind of interface will there be for the user to set game settings or save games? Will it be function keys or will there be a menu system of some kind?

Thanks,

Sorry for another post. I tried to edit my last message, but could not. A couple more questions:

Will there be an interface at the beginning of game play or just a "hit space bar" to play like in T3DGM?

Will high scores (assuming they can complete and play again to improve their score) be tracked long term or just for a particular gaming session?

Thanks,

I have not seen anything in the manual that discusses how a user can save a game, exit the game, then reload the game. I know there are player checkpoints that will return them to a spot after dying, but what about saving and loading?

Also, if that is possible, is it supported via the menu?

Thanks,

The initial info here I beleive to be now incorrect. Unless anything has changed recently saving as would normally be available in your game is not possible. I beleive that it has been dropped out until V1. I may be incorrect though so wait for an official answer.

Here's the scoop from Lee:

Quote: "EA will not allow you to save game states and positions, and reload them. This is planned as a V1 feature, and employing a simplified game save manager menu."
