Ok, hey all im not on my pc atm for the reas on that is, my pc was totally unorganised and i didnt have a cd/dvd burner at hand so i thought hey lets be clever and delete all the files id never use again,
la la la la la, deleted loads of junk off my desktop then the c:\ drive then my pc started erroring ok np must be because i deleted so much files,

restart then i get some boot up error, seems i deleted one file too many off my pc, and as im immobilized to dos for now i went to the c:\ drive and went for a dir list, and appears i have incompasitated my c drive, i have a boot disc or 2 on me but since i havent used dos in a while, and i have a load of files on my pc i want to keep,

what should i do?

panic? dont worry create a new partition. Then copy files into that?

Prolly scrapped boot.ini in your C:\ drive. Point of order to hide all system files on a new install and never delete hidden files without double-checking them. Just boot from a disk & reinstall Windows over what you've got .

ok i copied some files over to the cdrive, and revived my cdrive but i still cant boot up, ill try reinstalling windows now

[EDIT], ok this may sound really stuupid but how do i reinstall windows?, when i put the disc in and go read from cd it says error

yu must have deleted yur boot up files, if yur using xp yu'll prolly have to format comp and lose everything, then reinstall windows. otherwise just reinstal windows on top(repair) and yu should be fine... and make sure to install of cd yu go into the bios and change 1st boot device to whatever yur cd drive is called
