Can FPS Creator create third-person shooter games? Can FPS Creator use objects other than weapons such as magic wands? I tried "Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets" demo, a third-person "shooter" game, and I got stuck in the chamber with both doors that won't open.

As it is called First-Person Shooter (FPS) Creator, I expect not

Harry Potter is not a shooter, its a 3D platformer. FPSC is designed really for more "guns-n-gore" games, but it will be possible to design puzzles and so on. Hopefully you will be able to specify your own weapons.

You can load your own wand model.

You could make your own weapons (In this case, a wand or magic hands) using the scripting system. The scripting system has been mentioned in the FAQ. There's a link to it at the top of this forum.

Making a wand weapon would be really quite easy - but you cannot change the game to be third person.

Yeah, a monkey holding a AK47. I'd argue that a small monkey can't carry a large gun, but the argument would become as pointless (but not as funny) as the one in the beginning of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Still, monkeys semm too cartoonish . Remember, dominating the world with monkeys is not as easy as it seems .

[EDIT] Hey, I don't remember changing my sig. Oh well. [EDIT]

You can have a monkey with an AK47 if you like (for an enemy, you cannot change the player model). You will of course have to create this model yourself and then scale / configure it in the segment editor before using within FPSC.
