Anybody know of a good online game? It can't have blood and it can't be a war game unfortunately.

Ask someone for an invite, I'd invite you but RPGamer already used mine, maybe I can convince him to invite you.

But you'll have to wait until December for the next beta unfortunatly. but it's better than nothing, and also there is that risk your Life Game and Skeletor said that it's isn't any different then Guild wars in terms of violence.

But it's a long beta, you don't have to wait every weekend according to Skeletor.

If I may suggest one that I find to be quite fun:

http://www.mapleglobal.com

It's called Maple Story, its a 2D side scrolling MMORPG, thats completely free (so far anyway, it might go the way of Priston Tale). It's pretty fun.

Cheers,
Preston

[PS] If you wanna find my character, I'll usually be around Kensing City in Channel 12. My character's name is Korro, and I'm currently a lvl 15 rogue.

don't touch RYL, even though it is beta... it looks like it was created in DBC; slow, ageing graphics, purely fighting based, oh and will quite happily crash whenever using certain inventory systems on AMD-Systems.

it got boring really fast;

personally I think a good online game is Need for Speed Underground 1/2; both are pretty awesome online.
what games are available really depends alot on what type of game your really meaning.

Final Fantasy XI and Star Wars Galaxies, they'll cost you per month but are blood free and fun. (to an extent)

Everquest 2 is going to be in stores this week. I would suggest you get that if you dont mind shelling out 15 bucks a month. Another thing is Everquest doesnt have blood... not sure about EQ 2 but I know the original didnt. My advice is to show your mom the rating and see what she says.

dude steer clear of everquest, it's bad in gameplay an dit eats your soul, i've seen it happen. If you don't want an online action game and want to steer clear of blood, get barbies horse riding. otherwise get undead nazi pirates fo the kungfoorabean.

get Neverwinter Nights & use the Options to turn off blood, same with Dungeon Siege, you don't need no stinking subscription MMOs

All thoughout the last two Guild Wars weekends, there were ALOT of beta testers from EQ2 who are really not impressed with it at all.
Aside from the graphics, I wasn't impressed with it when i got the chance to try it out a year ago either. (then again i was never impressed with the first)

Thankfully this weekend we had less whiney little people bitching about the problems. The new Ascalon area was just AWESOME!, in just one week that game has improved quite a bit about itself; so I'm definately looking forward to next month. They should have a week-long event just after Christmas in order to get balance just right, as right now it seems to be the main point they are working on.

You can't turn the hordes of blood of in Halo, and it appears the Dude Guy has a strict mother. And Raven, did you mean that people who played EQ2 who tried GW thought GW was bad or vise verse?

One of the new Hamtaro games should do the trick. Unless the hamsters go to war ofcourse, then you'll need a new selection.

Speaking of Priston Tale, that game is HORRIBLE. Truly mind rotting stuff. I spent a week mining helpless furry acornes and scared lyzards. Do not play it.

And besides, the only on-line game you need is Diablo 2. A classic forever. (Plus I'm actually good at it)

I think the Diablo developers need to be kicked... or rather the one guy who actually lead the direction of that game.

Most of the diablo developers are the guys behind guild wars and areanet it is amazing what they came up with, without outside pandering

I got EQ 2 today. I have only played it for about 2 hours if that but so far it seems cool.

Oh and most people that play a game like GW and say EQ2 sucks are
a) mad they have to pay money for EQ2
or
b) are SOE haters.

I'm sorry, but...you should be dragged out into the street and shot for that.

LOGD (Legend of the Green Dragon) is a text based online RPG that you play in your browser. You'll be lucky if you get any images, but theres not need for em. It's fun without em (and could you imagine how many people would sue the creators if they had made images of certain enemies, like that Everquest Nerd or whatever its called).

Be warned though, if you do start playing, its hard to stop!

Cheers,
Preston

LOGD seems kinda dull.

But then again, anything that isn't on-fire and screaming loud enough to cripple folks, seems dull to me...

There is a link to the demo, I'm downloading it right now so I can see if the demo has a blood filter, if you really want to make sure you can go to the Bioware boards and ask and maybe a staff member can confirm it for your mother.
