go to [href]www.blender3d.org[/href] and download it. LOTS of good updates this time round.

Blender is a totally awesome package capable of producing totally amazing work, and i'd even suggest it is better than 3dsmax in a lot of areas.

Well worth a try!!!

Regards
Greenlig

that might be true, but you forget that blender is a very complex program and has a very cluttered ui, im sure its great once you get used to it

the GUI isnt cluttered at all!! At first it seems initmidating, but after you use it for a little bit, it all makes complete sense and it has been laid out perfectly. the work flow in Blender is much quicker than any other 3d software I have used, and ive used about 6-7 packages.

If you look at the interface tutorials on the site, you quickly learn the basics and from there the world is your rendered oyster!!

I love blender, I can't use it for DBPro but I like to make models with it. Except, now I can't use any programs that don't have a hotkey for every function. Milkshape and Anim8or are Torture!!! Love the face and edge select. If I could only import ANIMATED models into DB....

*wonders about 2.36

yeah, ive found a way to get static objects into dbpro, fully triangulated and uvmapped, so its all good, i just cant animate and export yet...

I recon it will be doable though.

I agree, the workspace is cluttered. Very sharp learning curve. For the first hour I was using it nothing made sense at all, and I've used many 3d packages before. I'll stick with max any day.
