you have to change this:
Quote: "function loadfiles()
LOAD IMAGE "mediasunset.jpg",1
paste image 1,860x840,0
endfunction load"

into this:
Quote: "function loadfiles()

LOAD IMAGE "mediasunset.jpg",1
paste image 1,860,840,0
endfunction load"

Why are you returning "load"? It isn't used.

...by a novince coder, who doesn't know how exactly the paste image command works(you're pasting it at the edge of the screen, and unless it's size is negative(which is immpossible), you won't see it).

EDIT: I'm aware he used "x".

It could be a fake OS.

Why you can't make an OS in DBP:

DBP uses the Windows kernel and DLLs.
DBP uses NTFS or FAT32.
DBP uses DirectX.
DBP is and creates Windows executables.
DBP uses Windows!!!
And Windows is an OS.

XP doesn't run on DOS. I think 98SE was the last one.

Well if lase can at least tell us some commands he's willing to code then we'd know abit more. I can see you've got yourself a desktop.

You can make files, directories, read from files and stuff. Search a directory for different background images.. maybe have thubmnails? a scroll bar? some windows for dragging? or perhaps your own way of displaying everything? You can play music, while doing it.. mak eyour owns games equal to Minesweeper or cards.. set gamma.. transparency.. make your own desktop! I wouldn't know how you would organise it all... and that's just the start..

Image your own desktop to play with.. ok, runs on Windows.. but it would be like these new Online RPG's.. completely setup a new playing screen, allowing you to have winamp playing music while talking to your buddies on ICQ/MSN.. a completely new shell.

P.S. Are you going to have a START button in the lower corner and a recycling bin on the desktop? har har har.. I can't say it would be secure though.. unless you have some cunning security features..

just think of no hacking with his new OS.. or because DB is running it won't show up till you get back to Windows.. HA HA.
