Hey, everyone...

I've just started getting serious about 3D modelling and decided that I would release a small pack of models that I whipped up for fun this evening. They aren't very good, and aren't textured (if someone can help me with this, I would be grateful), but you can go ahead and use them in both commercial and non-commercial releases, as long as you mention me in the credits

Battle Axe [52 polygons, 106 edges, 56 vertices]
Gem [30 polygons, 60 edges, 32 vertices]
Hatchet [65 polygons, 122 edges, 61 vertices]
Spiked Mace [92 polygons, 163 edges, 73 vertices]
Shard [24 polygons, 48 edges, 26 vertices]
Wooden Javelin [34 polygons, 72 edges, 40 vertices]
Glass Bottle [70 polygons, 140 edges, 72 vertices]
Glass Bottle 2 [50 polygons, 96 edges, 48 vertices]
Shield [18 polygons, 48 edges, 32 vertices]

They're all relatively low-poly, so you should be able to use them in any kind of game. The first glass bottle model looks more like a wine or beer bottle from GoldenEye or something, and there is an untextured and blue-colored one. The second bottle is much better, because I tried to model it off of a Dungeon Siege potion/mana bottle. Turned out much better, and the pack has an untextured model, a red bottle, and a blue bottle.

I would like to make a quick mention that if anyone is capable of texturing these for me, I would be very grateful, and mention you in the credits. I'm just starting out with modelling, and haven't quite picked up on how to texture yet (I use Wings3D).

I hope ya'll can use these

I think they're pretty decent. Perfect for RTS, or a more cartoony style RPG or platform. Royalty Free though, so we can't complain.

A book? I hate book. Book is stupid.

Thanks for the compliments.

I'm still learning Wings3D, and these are just really basic models that I plan on improving. This small pack could definetly be used for any game that doesn't require high-detail models. I want to keep producing model packs because there isn't much for free media around here, so I will try to improve them with higher detail, and hopefully learn how to texture them so they look much better.

would be nice if you posted screenshots; i'm a firm believer in 'no shots, no download'

after all, could be downloading anything..

good call, NOT!
i could post screen shots of B. Arthur naked and say i modeled her so download it, and pack a virus in a zip instead of the naked pictures of B. Arthur. so at any time you could be downloading anything. Don't get me wrong i wanna see what these models look like withouthavin to download and load them into a modeller. But still.

ps: sorry bout the B. arthur thing, but i just watched airheads again and figured out where i got that quote from.

I apologize for the lack of a screenshot. They look pretty darned ugly without textures (I'm going to try and fix that today, maybe), so that was the main reason for me not setting one up (that, and I forgot).

The screenshot is attached. I rendered it with Wings3D, so I just made all of the objects black so you can see 'em much better. Can't see any detail...but then, there isn't much. Hopefully, as I progress with Wings3D, I will be able to add more detail so people can use them in more ambitious projects.
