The Compaq ones are quite good - although they are all expensive.
The problem is the cheaper you go the less memory you get.
Easy to program with embedded C/VB...

Have a look at eBuyer.com for prices.

a hand held.. pda?

Don't buy compaq.. Go for palm. I found the best entry level pda to be the tungsten e from what I've read. It has support for all those things you just said although I can't remember off hand if you need to buy an external wifi adapter.

I've heard bad things about the windows powered pdas.. so stick to palm and you should be happy

Now if you're on about something else just ignore me

It was around £170 - have a look around for the best prices though.

woah woah woah.. why would you want a windows powered pda anyway?

I've heard they're a nightmare with syncing.. and a lot of times they end up to the point where you have to wipe everything and reinstall..

I wouldn't go with windows unless you have a very particular circumstance.. I don't see a need for it, as even a palm pda can sync with outlook

Don't blow your money on a more expensive OS.. Palm offers just as much as Windows can, but it's cheaper and faster, and doesn't have it's drawbacks like alternative os linux does.

THE ZODIAC!!!!!! The zodiac is a perfect hand held, and it plays games, mp3's, movies, and 3D Games! Plus it is a fully functional PDA, It has bluetooth, but I believe that they are coming out with a Wifi card for it! I have one and it is awsome, and it comes with a sweet little notepad type program, Plus it has an emulator that can play SNES, NES, genesis, and Gameboy games! Here is a link.... I bought a Palm a few years ago, a Palm m100. It is severely outdated now: 2MB memory, 16 mhz processor, no memory expansion slot or wi fi...But I still use it to write things down to fix while I am debugging my game. It is quite handy and saves on paper. In high school I used it to play games on during class. And it is fun to say that I have one. Syncing is really easy, just plug it in and hit the button.

If I had about £1000 I could make a PDA with everything there, but with a 15" screen

Hacked up and squashed laptops
