Does that card actually exist? Are you sure you don't mean the 6600 / GT / Ultra?

IIRC, the 6610 is a cheapo, crappy, OEM version of the 6600. As for info on it, I have no clue.

Bleh, I've just given up on trying to think up signatures.

Without hearing of the card, I can't really say..
i can't really imagine something that much cheaper than the 6600 Standard

If you could explain WHERE you are purchasing from this might help, considering there maybe better deals else where.

If you can't find any online info/reviews on it when doing a search it's probably not that impressive/supported. Any good card eventually gets some reviews/tests, only real small time manufacturers miss out. While they can come out with a good card odds are it's not as good as it should be and uses cheaper parts.

Still, as long as you can return something, if you take a shot with it run some tests and see if you're happy then send it back if you're not.

The Geforce 6610 XL is a Geforce 6600 with 400 Mhz chip and 400 Mhz ram. Thus it should be slower than the 6600 GT.
The 6610 XL hits the shelves as MSI NX6600-VTD128E Diamond.

But i don't know if this card is good, here in germany they are sold inside the new "ALDI-PC". Every half year, they sell computers and everybody`s going mad: people waiting in front of ALDI 3 hours before it opens run inside as soon as it is open and nearly kill each other to get such a PC.

Once upon a time i also owned one, but when I tried to upgrade it, I discovered it didn't even have an AGP Port. Those PCs suck.

... they call it a royale with cheese ...

Well, in today's Sun newspapaper, page 26, Aldi are selling a pc for £699.99 that has the Geforce 6610XL in it. Specs are listed as:

Graphics card with new PCI-Express x16 bus architecture
1x DVH
1x VGA (D-Sub)
128MB DDR3 Memory at 800MHz
6610 XL GPU 400 Mhz
with Scart TV-Out-connection

Boo!
