I got an email saying I was not worthy of giving help with coding saying quote...

"Before telling other how to type code and do stuff, learn to wipe your own ass first!"

It pissed me off. Does anyone here think I am worthy of helping others learn coding? Whenever people IM me and I help them they are all really grateful that I helped them and they all thank me and stuff.

I am saddend that people have this opinion of me

sounds like whoever sent you that email must be in fact the BIGGEST, GREATEST, THE MOST BEST, DBP coder out there, eh? aint no matchin that,,,if that's the case,huh?

i guess if that's teh case, we ALL better just think about hangin up our DB shoes...

otherwise, beyond that arrogant piece of mail you got....you've help me plenty of times in the past (& yes, i'm a newbie but we have to start somewhere) & if it's not for the help we get from users like RPGamer, where else we gonna get it???? at least when i received help from RPGamer, & others it was just what i needed, was not in anyway arrogant or slanderish.

keep up the GOOD work & trash that emil & never look back!

You will find stuff like this in all aspects of life.

Some people thrive on negativity and like to pull ppl down in order to make themselves feel better.

Ignore it and realize that someones either showing jealousy or envy, its gotta be one of those or they wouldnt have bothered to email u.

In essence u can look at it as a positive thing.

Anyone who tries to stop u helping out must have major issues. dont carry that on board its not your problem u attracted a "3k".

I myself have had some "3ks" try to msn me and forever interupt and talk about nonsense.

it happens, just ignore it but record the details if it gets out of hand for later.

Disregard RPG, the people you help appreciate it, and that's all that matters. You can't please everyone, you can only help when you can - most don't even do that.

I imagine it's someone with a grudge and has nothing to do with any advice you've given someone.

Quick idea, do a Google search for his email address, you might be able to identify him that way .
