Basically, something to automate script loading, handling and running. It would be extremely usefull for scripted AI.

Command ideas:

ScriptCommand Name$,Int,Float,Str$,Etc
ie.,
ScriptCommand TextOutput,a$
print a$
EndScriptCommand
or,
ScriptCommand AddSomething(a,b)
a=a+b
EndScriptCommand a

Basically the same as a function except you could Load Script, Run Next Script Command and it would automatically detect 'TextOutput "Hello World" in your script file and print "Hello World" or 'AddSomething(a,b)' and then a would equal a+b.
Also, having a Script Error Line command would be usefull.

You know, I was working on something like that a few months ago. It actually got pretty far, but a bug in it made DBP crash. I had to stop working on it because after one of those crashes, DBP apps never worked again. So as not to throw all that work away, I got the scripting engine and made WarBasic with it.

I've also been working on a project based on scripting called XScape. A thread in the W.I.P, forum is available based on the project. The difference is that my scripting system is very similar in syntax to DBPro Basic except that it extends this further by providing user-defined type methods etc.
